By road from the east (A14): Leave the A14 where it joins the A12, turning left on to the A1156, following signs for Ipswich. Keep straight on until you come to a junction, with a large church (St. Augustine's) on your right. Turn left on to Felixstowe Road (still the A1156) and follow this into the town. At the bottom of the hill (Bishop's Hill) is a roundabout. Go straight on. Soon afterwards, traffic merges from the right. Get over into the right hand lane when you can and continue straight on until you come to a roundabout, with the Novotel over on your right. Go straight on, with the road bearing right past the Novotel. At the next roundabout, turn right on to Princes Street, with a large black glass building to your right. Take the first right on to Friars Street. After the black glass building, the Meeting House is set back from the road on your right. There is a blue notice board and then the entrance to the Meeting House forecourt. (See the N.B. re. Parking above).

Alternatively keep on the A14 to the Copdock Interchange where the A14 and the A12 part company and follow instructions as per 'By road from the south'.

By rail: Ipswich is well-served by trains from London (Liverpool Street). There are also services from terminuses at Norwich, Cambridge, Peterborough, Lowestoft, and Felixstowe. The Meeting House is about ten minutes walk from the station. Coming out of the station entrance, go straight ahead, crossing at the lights. Go straight on, crossing the bridge over the river and the next road, passing the Royal Mail sorting office on your right. Carry straight on until you see a large roundabout on your left with a large black glass building beyond. Bear right until you come to a Pelican crossing. Cross here and head straight for the pedestrian walkway behind the black glass building. Entering the walkway, you will see the Meeting House on your right. Follow the railings round to the gateway.

If you don't want to walk from the station, take a taxi from the rank on your right as you come out of the station entrance. Ask for the 'Unitarian Meeting House on Friars Street, next door to the big black glass building'. It's only a short ride.

By coach: Coaches and most out-of-town buses come in to the Old Cattle Market bus station, which is very near the Meeting House. Turn left out of the bus station and walk straight on till you come to a set of lights. Cross straight over and you are in Friars Street. The Meeting House is a little way further on, on your left.
